Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products across 35 product categories.
The new-for-2011 KICKER Hideaway Compact Powered Subwoofer delivers surprising low frequency output from a remarkably small enclosure, setting a new standard in mobile plug-and-play bass performance and convenience in a vehicle. At just over three inches high and 14 inches deep, the Hideaway combines a 150-watt amplifier, 6.5-inch long-throw subwoofer, and 8-inch square passive radiator (patent pending), adding bass to any vehicle and fitting in the tightest locations. November 10, 2010 (MILWAUKEE) – Last Friday, while the rest of the SEMA exhibitors and attendees packed up and headed home, 52 drivers, their vehicles, sponsors and the entire OPTIMA Batteries team headed southwest one hour to Pahrump, Nevada, to compete in the highly-anticipated OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational presented by K&N and Magnaflow. When all was said and done, Mark Stielow and his highly-modified and beautifully designed 1969 Camaro came out on top, winning the coveted title of OPTIMA Batteries Ultimate Street Car of 2010.
OPTIMA Batteries awarded Stielow and each of the segments winners and runners-up at an awards ceremony immediately following the close of events on Saturday, November 6 at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch.

EnerSys Introduces ODYSSEY PC1220 and PC1350 Batteries
READING, Pa. – EnerSys® recently expanded its ODYSSEY® Battery product line to include the ODYSSEY® PC1220 and PC1350 batteries, available for premium European, Japanese and late-model American, automotive/LTV applications.
The ODYSSEY® PC1220 battery is comparable to BCI sizes 48 and 94R (European DIN L3), and the ODYSSEY® PC1350 battery is comparable to BCI sizes 49 and 95R (European DIN L5). While both batteries may require vehicle battery restraint modifications for installation, each battery features mounting flexibility and can be installed in virtually any position except inverted. Additionally, the ODYSSEY® PC1220 and PC1350 batteries are designed to protect against high impact shock and mechanical vibration for increased vibration resistance. They also provide an increased service life of three to 10 years.

The invitation-only event will take place on Saturday, November 6 – right on the heels of the leading specialty automotive trade event, the SEMA Show. Held at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada, this Invitational will challenge up to 50 of the finest street machines in the world, showcasing the quality, performance and talent of the country's top builders, performance parts manufacturers and car owners.

Courtney Hansen and Dave Perewitz to Sign Autographs in KICKER Booth at SEMA Show
STILLWATER, USA – KICKER Performance Audio announces that TV personality Courtney Hansen and master motorcycle fabricator Dave Perewitz will be signing autographs in the KICKER booth during the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Hansen is signing autographs on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m. to noon, and Perewitz is at the KICKER booth on Wednesday, Nov. 3, noon to 2 p.m. The KICKER booth is in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, no. 11425.
Courtney Hansen’s love for cars runs deep within her veins. Her co-hosting days on TLC’s hit show “Overhaulin’” landed her in the spotlight of the car industry, where she has worked closely with tons of vehicles loaded down with KICKER systems. She is currently the host of Spike TV’s two-hour “Powerblock” every Saturday and Sunday, where she chats with different celebrities about their million-dollar rides.In addition to hosting shows for ABC, TLC, Lifetime, Versus and Fox Sports, her most recent gig is becoming the spokesperson for AutoTrader.com.
