Veritas AccuMatch AM-500

Ever wished you had a device that would allow you to load your system however you wish reguardless of coil configuration ?
Thats what the Accumatch is meant to do. They are an impedence driver that can divide impedence by 1/2, 1/4 or 1/8, or multiple impedence by 2, 4 or 8.


Test System:
JBL Crown 2200 amp
JBL W15GTi subwoofer (DVC 6ohm)

Test Equipment:
1x DMM
1x TermLAB USB Sensor



Ran AM-500's in 1/2 drive mode, with coils parallel, for a 1.5ohm load.
Then ran 3ohm for comparison scores.


With Accumatch installed:

1.5ohm, Unclipped = 140.5dB
1.5ohm, Clipped = 140.5

Without Accumatch installed:

3ohm, Unclipped = 144.0dB
3ohm, Clipped = 144.5dB

Veritas dont recommend using the AM-500 for SPL purposes, this would be why. I would suggest the money spent on these devices would be better spent on suitable coils or a large amp, instead of trying to create a load with electronic devices.
