JBL 1200W Monoblock (GTi Version)

9 years 2 months ago - 9 years 2 months ago #1 by Tezzating
The JBL A1201GTi is Class D monoblock and has been JBL's "bread & butter" subwoofer amplifier for years. Its compact and makes a regulated 1200WRMS @ 2ohm (doesnt make anymore at 1ohm or 0.5ohm).
There's been plenty of versions of this amp, the current GTO1200.1 amp is the latest rendition.

The GTi model came with a JBL "Audiovalve" display unit which showed the average power output, input voltage, etc.

The Test System:
1x JBL W15GTi subwoofer
2x batteries

Test Equipment:
1x CRO
1x DMM
1x Goldline DSP-30 RTA

Gains adjusted on CRO @ 60hz.

Unclipped @ 56hz = 146.2dB
Clipped @ 56hz = 147.1dB
