Figured out why the wattage was so low.....and the impedance so high :laugh:

I removed the sub and amp last weekend, and in the process i noticed one of the speaker wires had come out where i taped them together, so the amp was actually running at 1.4 ohms and not 0.7 :ohmy:

so is the amp still a trooper or just lazy?

I had a buddys sub do that once, one of the terminals wiggled loose and touched the opposite one. couldn't quite figure why the amp would randomly shut down, was too lazy to pull the subs (separate chambers). ended up nuking the amplifier :blush:
thankfully it was a cheaper amp, not a d3000

I didnt reconnect the wire, so it'll have to wait till i put it all back and re-clamp it. The D3 is fine IMO, its does get rather hot when running at 0.7 daily but with the big Optima YT right there and dual 40cm 0G runs (so 2 power and 2 earth) i dont think it'll blow......i dont think anyways haha.

Nope, inverted the sub to lower the tuning, thats about it :laugh:

Im going to be clamping the wagon's monos on Thursday night, so if i get time i'll clamp the D3 too.
