Resetting Change Oil light

Turn on you ignition w/out starting the engine. Press on the gas pedal 3 times, all the way down. NOT TOO FAST OR TOO SLOW. The light should then go off.

Answer

If your Trailblazer/Envoy is equipped with the Driver Information Center at the bottom of the instrument cluster:

1) Change your oil filter and oil. :)

2) Turn on your ignition w/out starting the engine.

3) Navigate to the oil life 0% display using the fuel info button (gas pump icon).

4) Push / hold the select button (arrow icon) until it resets back to oil life 100% (+/-10 seconds)

5) Take a test drive and drop off your used oil at a recycling station...

From the 2002 Trailblazer owner's manual :)

Nice.....never seen them with a front end like that though? i like it.

Atleast you can reset the service interval stuff without a scan tool, more cars should be like that

The frontal styling was carried over to the Silverado, Suburban & Tahoe models later.. its also an LT so has more chrome work, fog lamps, tow hooks etc.
And a black stone deflector :P

I'm in the market for a Trailblazer of my own, or Chevy Tahoe, in which case I'd like to fit my subs and M3 to it.
This is the extent to which I intend to go with the Trailblazer.. as its the wifes vehicle :P about all I'd do is replace the front speakers maybe, but thats it.

yea. worst case ill just stick to the original plan of an m2 for about the same money brand new from country mike. no biggie, honestly im not sure a 2512 would last against an m3 with me at the volume knob
