Well finished the false floor.

Rewired a wagon for 2x OA2000
Added 2 extra wet cells due to the lack of batt power (short term I'm led to believe)
Added a second ground in the back with 0g

trim.rLgvxL.MOV
Then due to the time we couldn't cut so we did some electricle
Upgrades to the corolla and mark out for the next day.
So the big 3 is done. :-) also 0g.
Due to room restriction and the type of terminals a buzz bar was made.

To follow

Un fortunately the I could only put the charge wire infront of the radiator.
As it was the only place where it wouldn't get in the way or overheat.

Then we started the box well until resin splashed me in the eye lol. The burn..
Frig me. Lesson learnt.
Box designed for 4x12's however only putting 3 in. Each will be getting 3cube. And have individual compartments with a 6" aero port each sub
Yet to finish. Running 8g inside the box.

So hopefully tomorrow is the day.

But truth be known its the Jan/ feb install I'm really keen on.
Ain't that the truth... Go the reaper :-)

Back when we first launched I looked into making an iPhone app compatible version of the site but nothing was available.. Xmas is coming up and I'll have a bit more free time, so I think there's gunna be some upgrades and changes to the site.
Mobile compatibility will be one of the reasons for the upgrade ;)

I did some investigation into it ill grab afew links for you. One particular one stuck out to me though as it had the resources for most of ur things plus a live chat section if u wanted it.
However u can do everything u can on a pc on the iPhone just takes longer and u need to close the page continually.
The other pain is iPhone don't keep ur login details. But hey. Can be worse.

Yeah if you're after numbers with that setup then chop them down another 10mm or so..... at the moment it plays most low songs (30-35hz) easily and at good SPL levels. You should have a resonant frequency of about 51-53hz, with all that added Dynamat it may have come down more

ok decided what the hell ive waited 6 weeks for it to arrive.

Why put the woofers in separate chambers?

You could go one big box and two 10" round ports, or a single slot.
5 years 6 months ago #55 by Tezzating
Decibelcar.com, home of the gigantor port ;) haha. A 10" storm pipe certainly gains a lot of attention ! For 4" ports I always favoured a 12.5" or 10.5" depth, shorter for SPL ;). For 6" ports an 8.5" port depth works nicely for SPL and music.

I have 4 more days of holidays and I'm back from holidays so there's a few days worth to fill. I'm going to look at doing upgrades to the site and some maintenance, then look at improving mobile performance :D

Getting the Epic in there was a good plan, looks good. Shame you didnt get testing done but hey, atleast you've got it all put together and done.

MDF doesnt take spray paints well, its really porous and absorbs the paint like crazy. You can get a smooth result using MDF Primer first, or using a spray bog. Both will fill the pores so the paint doesnt soak in! Acrylics work well too.

Yeah it's not staying in there. Currently working on the final build for this car. The reason I went separate compartments is because I was using 2 different woofers and thought if 1 went it wouldn't affect the others. And the fact I have 2 more drivers sitting insydney awaiting me so I can add later. Just gotta shorten the ports by bout a cm or 2 . Funny u mention 10" ports. Went to see andy and we went for a walk n came back with some 10" and 12" pipe can't wait to see what he does with that lol
5 years 6 months ago #57 by steveo
Ok. Time to update and catch up.
After installing the epicentre I had a play withou ensuring the gains. Sounded awesome...... While it lasted.
Murderd the OA XT.

And then..... A little cut here, a little cut there. Shorten ports everywhere down by 20 mm
And two more OA pro 12's ...... O and my fiend jack n turkey we came up with this :

So now I'm waiting on daylight to test.
And that will just about be it until Andy and I come up
With the final build plan for this car.
