Its all "for show" apparently....but he is interested in getting more out of it without loosing the look, we are just going to use a bit of 1" Lexan as the rear wall of the enclosure, it sounds much tighter and more controlled now.....plus it does get louder with music.

But yes, i wanna beat him with:

$2.00 - Subwoofer
$45.00 - Amplifier
$27.00 - Enclosure

$74.00 - Total :P

'For show' in a non turbo Lancer?

Sounds about right.... :D

Tell him 'for show' is annother way of saying 'can't get loud'. :P

Termlab testing a DDLE10 + SS1a running at 4 ohms in a mates car today, got one 136 out of it and consistant 133.5's.

Those 9515's NEED to be louder!

Cant really complain with 140+db daily in a wagon from a single 12 and less than 1kw, nevermind the cost :smoke:

Ive got a customer at work with two Pioneer 308D4s in pre-fab sealed boxes, heard my car and said "how much"..... he has ordered a 2 x 12s version for his Accent. I'll post up pics and will be putting it on the TL, it currently does 143s.

How much amp power?

Was running a Kenwood 9105D (~900wrms) but it failed on him, so he went across the road and bought a "Precision Power" monoblock, ~600wrms.

I said go with the OA 2000wrms mono and nothing else
7 years 2 months ago #52 by Dylan
OA 2000wrms is only about 600wrms in the real world anyway... :P

Its gotta be better than this:

Yes its as tiny as it looks, 11.75" x 9.5".

Apparently 550wrms @ 1 ohm........

Anything is better than OA.
7 years 2 months ago #55 by Andy

Here is the prized CRX in all its glory.........

Note: Stock rims + paint + exhaust(?) + NO SUNROOF!! Also distinct lack of cabin area compared to the wagon, i reckon even if i walled my car to the B pillar there would be still more room than the CRX :P

I dislike red for a car colour. Thats been repainted I think, the original paint was leaded and didnt use a clear coat like that
