Ford® Honors KICKER® Fiesta SE with Product Excellence Award
STILLWATER, USA – KICKER® Performance Audio is proud to announce that Ford® recently honored the stunning 2011 KICKER Fiesta SE project vehicle and the KICKER Installations Team with the Ford Product Excellence Award.
The KICKER Fiesta SE can be seen on display Nov. 19-21 at Homestead-Miami Speedway during NASCAR’s series-crowning Ford Championship Weekend.
“Your excellence in building this project provides a benchmark for all Aftermarket organizations,” Brian Nottmeier wrote in the award letter. Nottmeier is the Director of Ford’s FNA Product Planning group. The letter states the “award has been created to recognize excellence in product development and total project vehicle execution.”
The KICKER Fiesta award selection was based upon a number of criteria, including new product development, appearance, brand marketability and display, among others.
KICKER’s tricked-out Fiesta SE was unveiled at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas Nov. 2 as the centerpiece of the mobile-sound legend’s booth inside the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall. “The KICKER Installations Team worked feverishly to create a powerful, unique statement with the KICKER Fiesta that will make a memorable impact,” said Kevin Campbell, KICKER Global Marketing Director.
The Fiesta SE, awarded to KICKER by the Ford Motor Company through its Dollar-Car marketing program, features the latest, high-performance products from the longtime audio-gear manufacturer, as well as several other performance aftermarket products and custom work, to give the vehicle its own signature style.
“We wanted to go the extra mile to make it great,” said Sean Murphy, KICKER Installations Team Manager. “We actually reworked every panel to put the interior and install over the top.” The team features Murphy and installers David Adams, Randy Botts, Josh Fletcher and Tim Smith.
The Fiesta got a complete makeover, which included a reshaped dash, Sparco racing seats and vibrant exterior paint with graphics. The interior got an infusion of audio glitz, beginning with four 15-inch, rumbling KICKER CompVX Subwoofers each powered by its own ultra-compact, 1,000-watt KICKER IX Subwoofer Amplifier. Smooth midrange and high frequencies pouring from outstanding KICKER QS Components in the doors come to life thanks to a set of small 4-channel KICKER IX Amplifiers.
Dynamat interior sound control lining, Konig wheels, General Tire rubber and Kinetik audio power cells are a few of the other aftermarket products utilized to make the Fiesta the subject of any complete stop-look-and-listen session.
Campbell confirmed the Fiesta will be involved in many KICKER marketing projects throughout 2011.
